About This Project

Artmann (2004-2006) is an art project that seeks to undermine the existing art system. Concepts such as gallery, executor, audience and creator are questioned by mixing roles and positions. Artmann is a gallery space, an art trend watcher, a production studio where paintings are conceived digitally and executed with the help of outsourced production teams in the infamous Chinese painter village Dafen.

One of the highlights of Artmann is the collaboration in 2006 with late Gorky frontman Luc De Vos, who creates a series of artworks based on his daily experiences in the music industry.
